Rose shortage throughout Burma due to Aung San Suu Kyi's 75th birthday.


Has been designated Rose Revolution Day.

Wear a fresh flower today in honor of Burmese Resistance.

Way back in 1998 I was scheduled to give a short talk on her birthday, Nancy Pelosi came to this event, but the MCs f-ed up the time slots and I didn't get to say anything.  I have a photo somewhere.
