Junta and a doggie--Aung San Suu Kyi trial.

As we have seen with the sentencing of the 2 journalists recently, M junt apparently plans to "wrap everything up" with these kangaroo trials (no offense to Australia or real kangaroos) quickly.  It thinks it can "move on."  Not likely.

While it tries to warm up Asean w a charm offensive.

Daw ASSK asked for food for herself and others detained with her, as well as her beloved dog Taicho

given her by her son Kim during his last/only? visit as an adult in c 2010. ASSK's 2 sons and her late husband Dr Michael Aris, were with her when she returned fr UK in 1988 and took up politics.

The doggie is a Chin dog btw (bought in a bazaar) and it hates strangers coming near her.

Snaps at them.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/12/health/us-coronavirus-thursday/index.html As Covid-19 infections and hospitalizations soared across the US , experts warned higher death tolls would soon follow. On Wednesday, there were at least 1,893 American deaths from the virus, according to Johns Hopkins University -- the highest daily death toll the country has seen since early May. Already, more than 241,700 people have died. And with the virus running unabated within US communities, that number will likely only keep climbing. Texas becomes the first US state with more than 1 million Covid-19 infections Another more than 110,000 Americans are projected to lose their lives in just the next two months, according to the University of Washington's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation.
