Highly recommended--Nien Cheng--Life and Death in Shanghai

I first read an excerpt in Time Magazine.
In 2014 or so, I read the whole book. In the book she described how she was finally able to leave China at the start of the Deng Xiao Ping regime, by among other things "donating" her excellent porcelain collection to a National Museum.
It was my privilege and honor to meet and interview Nien Cheng in c1998.
1997-2001
I worked at Radio Free Asia and was job harassed by the jerk boss of
the Burmese section and his two women so-called editors when my programs
became very popular in Burma.
Subsequently, I saw Nien Cheng's autographed photo in 2001 in a psychiatrist's office and he (Michael Hurd) also interviewed me on his Michael Hurd Show, for radio.
